(LANSING) - A former Hillsdale County man has been returned to Michigan and is facing charges of criminal sexual conduct.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says 58 year old Kevin Murphy, who most recently lived in Kentucky, has been arraigned in Hillsdale County District Court on two counts of criminal sexual conduct. It's alleged that Murphy sexually assaulted two minor victims in 2025.
Murphy was initially charged by the Hillsdale County Prosecutor's Office in October 2025. Last week she was extradited to Michigan through Operation Survivor Justice. This is a partnership between the Attorney General's Office, local county prosecutors, and the U.S. Marshals Service to locate, apprehend and return Michigan fugitive offenders with outstanding sexual assault warrants.
Murphy is scheduled to be back in court on March 25.
