(BRONSON) - Bronson Community Schools will be holding a ground breaking for their track project.

During last week's Bronson Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Kate Wall shared that a ground breaking for the track project is set for this week...........(04202026 KATE #1 :19 "shovel dirt").

Wall says this will be a ceremonial ground breaking and will take place April 24 at 2:30 PM at the track. She says Skillman will bring hard hats, shovels and vests so the Board of Education can shovel and sling some dirt. (LISTEN ABOVE).

The project will be the construction of an eight lane metric track at Bronson High School. It will allow Bronson to host MHSAA sanctioned events in the future.

Actual work will start the week of May 1.

Bronson School District voters approved a millage proposal in November 2025 that will bring in $29.91 million. Other projects that will be part of the millage include renovations at Anderson Elementary School, which will include adding classrooms, a gymnasium, expanding the cafeteria, HVAC updates, along with electrical infrastructure and new windows.
