(STURGIS) - Two members of the Sturgis High School Class of 2026 are moving on in their athletic and academic careers. Lukis Bir signed his letter of intent to play basketball for North Central College in Illinois, while Melody Luna signed her LOI to be on the competitive cheer team at Spring Arbor University. Bir says he's put on weight and will be spending the summer play basketball against older players to get ready for the season. Luna and her mother say that she is excited to move on to the college level, where they do one round in competition instead of three rounds like in high school.
