(STURGIS) - A group of Sturgis fourth grade students received a special recognition recently.
The Sturgis Kiwanis Club held their annual "Knowledge Is Dynamite" or K.I.D.S. program at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts.
Nine Sturgis 4th graders from Eastwood Elementary and Trinity Lutheran Schools in Sturgis were honored by the Kiwanis Club for outstanding achievement and growth during the 2025-2026 school year.
This year's recipients are Harper Lung; Brayan Pelaez-Cornelio; Pypir Leigh; Audrey Rueppel; Keegan Babb; Lucas Reynolds; Elisabeth Roof; Emily Weniger and Maryn "Lulu" Moses.
Each student was selected by their teacher and received a special certificate and T-shirt from the Kiwanis Club. They also enjoyed a buffet lunch with their parents and other family members and the teacher that nominated them.
