(CENTREVILLE) - St. Joseph County's finances are doing well.
The St. Joseph County Commission received the Fiscal Year 2025 audit presentation during a recent meeting. A representative from Gabridge & Company says the County received an unmodified opinion which is the highest that can be given.
The representative when on to share more information on the audit, saying there was a decrease in revenues due mostly to grants and contributions going down. Property taxes went up. Expenditures also went up slightly, mostly due to the cost of living adjustment. (LISTEN ABOVE).
The General Fund budget also saw a 10% variance.
