(STURGIS) - Live local musician and artists will be sharing their skills Saturday afternoon.
The 15th Homegrown Arts and Music Festival will be taking place at Oak Lawn Park in Sturgis from 12 PM until 10 PM. Local bands will be performing on the stage along with in between acts in the Sturgis Kiwanis Club beer garden.
Homegrown organizer Eric Wynes says the first few years, he and other were calling local acts and persuaded them to play. Now, Wynes says bands want to perform at the event.
This year's Main State entertainment will be Abyssal Zone (12:05 PM); SnoShu (1 PM); Drivin' Blind (2:30 PM); Off Topic (4 PM); Phins UP (5:30 PM) and The Hubie Ashcraft Band (8 PM).
Local artists will be on the rink with their creations on display and for sale. Scott Swihart says there will be a wide array of artists at the event.
The St. Joseph County United Way will be selling food throughout the day. There will also be kids activities on the rink, and the Sturgis High School All Class Reunion will be taking place.
There is no admission price for the festival.
