(BATTLE CREEK) - The preliminary hearing for a Sturgis business woman did not happen Wednesday.
Calhoun County District Court officials say the preliminary hearing for Carrie VanDeventer-Douponce was removed from the docket. No reason was given, and no reschedule date has been set.
The 49 year old VanDeventer-Douponce was arrested on charges of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and Fourth Degree Child Abuse.
