(MARTIN) - The Sturgis girls and boys cross country teams were in action at the Wolverine Conference Championship hosted by Plainwell at the Martin Speedway. The Lady Trojans came in third and the Sturgis boys eighth. For the girls Alice Starkey came in tenth and Leilani Machuca was 14th and were both named All Conference. In the boys race, Milo Barry of Sturgis finished 25th and Vaughn Merrill was 33rd. For the season, the Sturgis girls ended in a tie for second place and the Sturgis boys were seventh.
