(THREE RIVERS) – The Three Rivers High School graduation ceremony scheduled for Thursday has been postponed.
In a media release, Three Rivers High School Principal Carrie Balk announced that during Monday's Three Rivers Board of Education meeting she said the decision was to postpone the graduation that was supposed to happen July 9 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Balk says they are doing a survey with the Class of 2020 to see if they could reschedule the ceremony for Thursday August 6, which was their original back up date. So far, Balk says less than half of the graduating class has responded to the survey.
She says she hopes to have more students contact her with their answers about the reschedule date.
The August 6 date is not definite, according to Balk. She says there are many factors that will be looked at to determine if that day, or another, can work for graduation.
