(PENN TOWNSHIP) – A juvenile was injured when a pick up collided with a golf cart.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out at 9:19 PM Friday for a two vehicle crash in Penn Township. Deputies says that a juvenile was driving a golf cart, and tried to make a left hand turn from Schultz Court onto Shore Acres Road, and was hit by a pick up, also driven by a juvenile that was heading east on Shore Acres Road.

The driver of the golf cart was taken by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries. A second juvenile passenger in the golf cart was released at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation. Assisting at the scene were the Cassopolis Police Department and the SMCAS Ambulance Service.
