(CONSTANTINE) – Constantine High School Principal Travis Walker has stepped down from his position.
During Monday's meeting, the Constantine Board of Education approved a separation agreement with Walker. He is the fifth administrator to leave the School District in the last year.
During the Public Comment portion of the meeting, four individuals spoke to the Board of Education regarding Walker leaving Constantine Public Schools. One of them was Randy Peterson, who has three children in the Constantine Schools. Peterson had some strong words for the Board of Education. LINKC.
Peterson says the Board has again driven another administrator away. LINKD.
During the September 14 Board of Education meeting, Walker addressed the Board regarding the resignation of Jeff Hattendorf as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. Walker told the Board at that time there didn't seem to be a mutual concern for the number of administrators leaving Constantine Schools.
Superintendent Jim Wiseley says Walker's duties as Principal will be absorbed by others for the time being. Walker also served as the Varsity boys basketball coach.
