(LAGRANGE) – LaGrange County has their budget for 2021.

During Tuesday's meeting the LaGrange County Council approved the budget for just over $33.7 million. The budget for the current year was $31.9 million. The budget also included a one percent salary increase for County employees.

Following the Council meeting, the Major Moves Committee met to hear a funding request from LaGrange County REMC. They were asking for $5 million to assist them in the quest to provide high-speed fiber optic internet to the community.

The Major Moves Committee will consider the recommendation and announce their decision at a future date.
