(CALVIN TOWNSHIP) – A two vehicle crash sent one of the drivers to the hospital.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called out at 1:20 PM Saturday to a two vehicle crash on Brownsville Road and Union Road.
The investigation determined that 55 year old Gary Schlenther of Niles was driving east on Brownsville Road and attempted to pass another eastbound vehicle, being driven by 43 year old Kelly Rodriguez of Vandalia. Rodriguez was making a left turn off Brownsville Road when Schlenther struck her vehicle.
Rodriguez was taken by SMCAS Ambulance to Ascension Borgess Lee Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Also assisting at the scene was the Penn Township Fire Department.
