(CENTREVILLE) – Tuition will be going up next year for Glen Oaks Community College students.
During last week's meeting, the Glen Oaks Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve an increase in the tuition and fees for the 2019-2020 school year. The tuition increase is three percent higher than the current rate, while the student activity fee is going up one dollar.
The new in district tuition rate will be $123 per semester contact hour and $153 per semester contact hour for service area students. In state tuition rates will be $187 per semester contact hour while out of state rates per contact hour will be $222.
International tuition rates will be $268 per semester contact hour.
The student activity fee will be $5 per contact hour starting in 2019-2020.
In addition, the course fees will be going up in eight of the nursing and one allied health classes for next year. Those increases range anywhere from $10 to $40.
