(LAGRANGE) – The 2019-2020 handbook for Lakeland Junior-Senior High School will have new sections addressing vaping and other items.

Assistant Principal Jason Shackow says staying ahead of the vaping and e-cigarette industries from a policy standpoint is difficult. He says they went to the American Cancer Society and found a policy used by other schools, and added it to the handbook. He says it is very good language and will help the school to protect students from those kinds of dangerous health issues.

Another section of the handbook addresses CDB oil, which can contain THC.

Shackow went on to say lunches are scheduled so that seventh and eighth graders generally won't be eating at the same time as high schoolers.
