In a posting on his Facebook page, Kevin Kane has announced he is a candidate for Probate Court Judge. For the last six years, he has served as Attorney Referee for Probate Court, and currently serves as Director Of Juvenile Court.
The 46 year old Kane says he started considering running for Probate Court Judge in August 2023 with a simple yet earnest effort to connect with the residents of St. Joseph County. Throughout this journey, Kane says he has been humbled by the overwhelming support he’s received. He says it’s a testament to the shared values and aspirations that are held dear in St. Joseph County.
Kane says his mission is clear: to serve the people of St. Joseph County with integrity, compassion and dedication. If elected Probate Court Judge, Kane says he will uphold the principles of fairness and justice, while ensuring that every individual who comes before the court is treated with dignity and respect.
David Tomlinson has served as Probate Court Judge for 12 years. At age 73, he is being aged out and is unable to seek re-election.
