(COLDWATER) – Host Coldwater won a Division 2 District baseball title with an 8-4 win over Marshall Monday afternoon. The game was scheduled to be played Saturday afternoon, but was postponed due to the threat of thunderstorms. Cole Heinemann was the winning pitcher, striking out 8 batters and allowing 3 hits and 3 earned runs on the day. Owen Tappenden had a 2 run homer for the Cardinals. Cam Heinemann had a two run double and Garrett Johns added an RBI. Coldwater is now 19-21 and will take on Olivet in a Regional semifinal game Wednesday.
