(COLON) – Colon notched their second straight win as they jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 65-6 win over county and Southern Michigan 8 Man Football League West division rival Burr Oak. Maverick Downs had 12 carries for 143 yards and 4 touchdowns for the Magi. He was also 7 of 11 for 120 yards, 3 more TD’s and an interception. Kyle Muntain had 2 carries for 65 yard and a score, along with 4 receptions for 71 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively, Downs led Colon with 8 tackles. Kaleb Thaxton added 6 tackles. Burr Oak was held to 92 total yards on the night. Ethan Boyles ran for the lone Burr Oak touchdown. He was also 2 of 3 for 53 yards. Garrett Johnson has 12 carries for 18 yards. Joshua Greene had 8 tackles for Burr oak and Austin Cole had 6 stops. Colon improves to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the Division. Burr Oak is 0-4 and 0-2 in the division.
