No. 2 Constantine falls to Ovid-Elsie 38-25 in Reg. Finals
(CONSTANTINE) – Ovid-Elsie scored on their first three possessions to build a 21-0 lead and then went on to beat host and No. 2 Constantine 38-25 in their Division 6 Regional Championship game. The Marauders did a good job early on of slowing down the Falcons running game, which was held to 254 yards. Rushawn James led the way on the ground for Constantine with 14 carries for 96 yards and a score. Bennett VandenBerg had 12 carries for 83 yards and 3 TD’s. LINKC. Brody Jones had 6 carries for 61 yards and a TD. Constantine ends the season at 10-2 while Ovid-Elsie is now 8-4 and will take on Almont in a State Semi-Final game on Saturday.
