No. 3 Mendon softball beats Dansville 12-0 in D-4 Quarterfinals
(JACKSON) – What started out as a pitcher’s dual ended in the fourth inning as the No. 3 Mendon softball team plated 6 runs and beat Dansville 12-0 in their Division 4 Quarterfinal game at Jackson College. The Lady Hornets took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, and then scored six runs in the fourth. Jadyn Samson who scored the first run of the game drove in two more in the fourth. LINKC. Rowen Allen, who struck out five in getting the pitching for Mendon, also had a three run homer in a 5 run fifth inning. LINKD. Mendon improves to 38-4 and will take on No. 1 Unionville-Sebewaing in a Friday semifinal game at Michigan State University. USA beat No. 4 Plymouth Christian 2-0 in their quarterfinal game. Mendon and Unionville-Sebewaing faced off in the 2023 Division 4 State Championship, with USA winning 5-4.
