(UNDATED) - Rockford High School guard Anna Wypych received a special recognition Monday. She was named the 2025 Mick McCabe Michigan Miss Basketball. Wypych is averaging more than 22 points per game, along with 3.4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.6 steals. This season alone, Anna has broken almost every school record; career points (1,489), single game points (38), career assists (260), single game assists (8), career free throws made (336), career steals (200), single season made 3-point shots (76), and single game made 3-point shots (7). Wypych was selected by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan and the Detroit Free Press. Wypych will lead Rockford against Grand Haven Tuesday night in a Division 1 Quarterfinal game. Wypyck has signed to play basketball at Butler University.
