(LAGRANGE) - The Lakeland School Board will hold a closed executive session prior to tonight's regular school board meeting.

The closed-door session will start at 5 PM. The regular board meeting starts at 6:30 in the high school auditorium where a large crowd is expected.

The board is scheduled to consider a recommendation to close Wolcott Mills and Lima Brighton Elementaries and realign students between Parkside Elementary, Lakeland Middle School and Lakeland High School.

The goal is to save about one million dollars a year by closing the two schools to address a funding shortfall.
