(BRONSON) – The Bronson Police Department wants to warn local citizens to be on the lookout for fake $100 bills.
Bronson Police Chief Stephen Johnson says a citizen turned in two counterfeit $100 bills that they found on the ground in the area of CC’s Diner.
Looking at the bills, there is the word “COPY” on the left side.
Johnson says they don’t want any individuals or businesses to get taken advantage of, especially with U.S. 12 Heritage Garage Sale starting later this week. He says his department is aware of a citizen who was scammed and is now out $100 trying to be a good person and helping someone out.
