(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools has their budget for the 2024-2025 school year.
During a special meeting Monday, the Sturgis Board of Education reviewed the proposed budget. Finance Director Ray Sterling says the District has maintained a strong fiscal position for the last several years, that allows them to make some staffing decisions. LINKC.
Sterling says the proposed General Fund revenues for 2024-2025 would be $40.8 million and the proposed expenditures would be $41.2 million.
The year end fund equity would be $8.1 million, putting the fund at 19.66%, which is well above the State average.
The Board of Education unanimously approved the budget.
