(UNDATED) – It was a busy weekend for the Sturgis bowling teams. On Saturday they were in action at the Marshall Sue Hutchings Scotch Doubles Tournament, with the team of Khara Kimes and Andrew Matz taking first place. They were the top qualifying team, then beat a team from Jackson Lumen Christi in the quarterfinals and a team from Marshall in the semifinals before beating the team of Lopez and Kremer from Jackson Lumen Christi 138-121 to win the championship. On Sunday, the Trojans were at the Glen Holiday Tournament. The Sturgis boys finished 21st out of 22 teams and the Lady Trojans 16th out of 16 teams. In the boys meet, Andrew Matz shot a two game series of 436. He finished First Place on the All Tournament Team. Austin Crites shot 290. In the girls match, Khara Kimes shot 294 for two games. Beth Waugh had a 256 series.
