
(COLON) – The No. 1 ranked Mendon volleyball team took on host Colon in their Division 4 Volleyball District Championship and beat the Lady Magi 3-0. Mendon coach Kenneth Herbert says his team played some of their best volleyball of the season, starting each match fast and maintaining their discipline. Gracie Schultz had 12 kills, 5 digs and 2 aces for the Lady Hornets. Karyssa Holtz added 24 assists, 7 digs and 2 kills while Cienna Nightingale had 10 kills and 12 digs. Mendon will host their Regional and will take on Martin next Tuesday in a semifinal match.
