(DOWAGIAC) – Dowagiac Police are asking the public for help as they investigate a business that was vandalized.
Dowagiac Director of Public Safety Steve Grinnewald says his department was notified at 3 AM Friday about a vehicle smoking at Hartman Automotive Service. Officers arrived and found a vehicle on fire and called the fire department who arrived and extinguished the blaze.
Further investigation by officers found two vehicles had their tires slashed.
Grinnewald says his office is contacting area businesses to see if their surveillance cameras may have recorded anything.
If anyone has information on this incident, they are asked to contact the Dowagiac Department of Public Safety.
