(STURGIS) – Travel through downtown Sturgis is going to be a little difficult for the next few months.
The U.S. 12 project in downtown Sturgis is set to begin on Monday.
The project will run from South Centreville Road to Franks Avenue.
The initial work will be the installation of ADA ramps at the intersections along U.S. 12. Once that is done, Sturgis City Engineer Barry Cox says crews will begin paving and striping. They will take the week off for Sturgis Fest.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of July. The project will also include a sidewalk along the south side of U.S. 12 from South Lakeview Avenue to Maplecrest Street.
