(ELKHART COUNTY) – A one vehicle crash in Northern Indiana led to the arrest of the driver.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened just after 2 AM Sunday on U.S. 20, west of County Road 11. According to investigators, 36 year old Aureliano Pereira of South Bend was heading west on U.S. 20 when he crossed the fog line and hit a guard rail in a construction zone. His vehicle flipped onto its top.
Pereira was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was later arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated.
