(STURGIS) – A man has been arrested on multiple charges.
The Sturgis Department Of Public Safety says they had been attempting to locate a wanted felon, and on October 11 noticed activity at the suspect’s residence. After a short period of surveillance, officers observed the suspect get into the passenger seat of a vehicle that was leaving the residence.
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Monroe Street and the 26 year old suspect was arrested on multiple felony warrants. Subsequent to the arrest, officer located methamphetamine, heroin as well as a loaded firearm that was stolen from the State of Colorado.
The suspect is being held in the St. Joseph County Jail.
The 42 year old female driver of the car and two juveniles were released at the scene.
