(COLDWATER) – A Bronson man has plead guilty to first degree criminal sexual conduct.
Branch County Prosecutor Zach Stempien says on Monday 41 year old Joseph Blowers entered into the plea, and will have all the other charges against him dismissed.
Blowers was arrested in May by the Branch County Sheriff’s Office on 6 counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, 1 count of third degree criminal sexual conduct and 1 count of domestic violence second offense notice.
Because of previous felony convictions in both Branch and Hillsdale Counties, Blowers was also charged at the time as a habitual offender.
Authorities say their investigation revealed details too graphic to be shared.
Stempien says the plea agreement includes a binding Killebrew Agreement mandating incarceration in the Michigan Department of Corrections for 17.5 years to life.
Blowers is also required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life and must submit to lifetime electronic monitoring.
