
Sturgis falls to Three rivers 42-14 in season finale
(STURGIS) – Three Rivers jumped out to an early lead and beat host Sturgis 42-14 in the regular season finale for both teams. The Trojans had a slight advantage in total yards (306-304) on the night. Beckett Lamb was 6 of 15 for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns along with an interception. Darren Speelman had 2 receptions for 45 yards and a score, while Gavin Lews had 2 receptions for 30 yards and a score. LINKC. Malachi Warner rushed 20 times for 99 yards. Lewis led the defense with 9.5 tackles. Parker Altimus had 7 tackles and Oliver Lamb had 6.5 tackles. LJ Hensley had 8 carries for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns for Three Rivers. Mason Awe was 6 of 9 for 82 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. He also had 7 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown. Sturgis ends the year at 0-9, 0-7 in the Wolverine Conference. Three Rivers is now 5-4 and 3-4 in the Conference.
