
(ADRIAN) – No. 1 Mendon went on the road and beat host Adrian Lenawee Christian 76-43 in 8 man action. The two teams combined for over 11 yards of total offense, with Mendon rushing for 521 yards of offense, and the Cougars having 600 yards. Mendon’s Owen Gorham had 27 carries for 301 yards and 4 touchdowns. With that performance he now becomes the career touchdown leader in 8 man football. JT Lux had 10 carries for 132 yards and 3 touchdowns. Adrian Lenawee Christian threw for 453 yards and 3 touchdowns along with 2 interceptions. Zak Iobe led the Mendon defense with 15 tackles. Owen Gorham and Xavior Zinsmaster each had 8 tackles. Mendon ends the regular season at 9-0.
