(STURGIS) The Sturgis boys basketball team jumped out to an early lead as they won their home opener, beating Bronson 47-37 in non conference play. Lukis Bir led the Trojans and all scorers on the night with 25 points. LINKC. Gavyn Moore added 9 points and Carson Eicher had 7 points in the win. Bronson was led by Kamron Brackett, who had 15 points and also reached 1,000 points for his career at Bronson. LINKD. Boston Bucklin added 8 points and Drew Norton added 7 points. Both Sturgis and Bronson are now 1-1 on the season.
