(COLDWATER) – Authorities are investigating the deaths of two Coldwater residents found in a camper.
Coldwater Director Of Public Safety Joe Scheid says officers were called to the 400 block of Race Street at 6:19 PM Monday by a family member who stopped by the camper to check on the occupants after one failed to show up to work that day.
Police say 54 year old Larry Wheeler and 40 year old Kari Close, were found dead inside the camper. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine their cause of death. Investigators say temperatures Monday varied from a low of -3 to a high of 7 Fahrenheit.
Assisting at the scene were the Coldwater Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance. The matter is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Officer Joe Conley at 517-278-4525.
