(STURGIS) – A financial gift was given to Centreville Public Schools to be used for their new Food Club.
During Wednesday’s St. Joseph County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting, Centreville Schools Superintendent Chad Brady shared about the Food Club, saying it’s based on one in Ludington. Brady explained what the goal of the Food Club is. LINKC.
According to Brady the plans for the Food Club started in the 2024-2025 school year when Centreville School Board and St. Joseph County Farm Bureau member Larry Walton brought the idea to him. Since then Brady says the committee has been working to put the Food Club together.
Brady says they are hoping to have the Food Club open later this year or in early 2026. He says they want to take their time and do this project correctly.
Following Brady’s presentation, Farm Bureau Insurance Agent Jason Scramlin presented Brady with a check for $2,000 to be used toward whatever is needed to get the Food Club operating.
