(STURGIS) – A Sturgis man has been arrested on multiple sex related charges.
Detective Kyle Bowers of the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit says 32 year old Clayton Warren was arrested on charges of possession, manufacturing and dissemination of child sexually abusive material, and for first degree criminal sexual conduct. His arrest followed an investigation that originated from a tip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip was regarding Warren's online activity involving child sexual exploitation.
Warren was arrested and arraigned in St. Joseph County District Court. St. Joseph County Prosecutor David Marvin has authorized 18 felony charges against him.
If convicted, Warren faces up to life in prison for the criminal sexual conduct charges; 20 years for each count of child sexually abusive material aggravated; and 20 years for using a computer to commit a crime.
