(INDIANAPOLIS) – Unemployment was mostly up around Northeast Indiana during October.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says recent numbers show that LaGrange County had a slight increase in their unemployment, going from 2.7% in September to 2.8% in October.
The largest increase was in DeKalb County which went up from 2.9% to 3.2%, and increase of three-tenths of a percent. Steuben County increased from 2.7% to 2.9%, and Noble County went up from 3.5% to 3.6%.
The only drop in unemployment was in Elkhart County, going from 3.8% to 3.5%.
Statewide, the unemployment rate in Indiana was the same from September to October, staying at 3.3%. That’s below the National unemployment rate for October, which was 3.6%.
