(STURGIS) – Some Sturgis elementary school students were recently honored.
The Sturgis Kiwanis Club’s held their annual “Knowledge is Dynamite” program recently at the Sturges-Young Center For The Arts. A group of eight Sturgis 4th graders from Eastwood Elementary School were honored by the club for outstanding achievement and growth during the 2023-‘24 school year.
Each student was selected by their teacher and received a special certificate, t-shirt, and pencil bundle from Kiwanis. They also enjoyed a buffet lunch with their parents and other family members, Eastwood Principle Mike Miller and the teacher that nominated them.
This year’s recipients are Ali Tomlinson, Alia Winters, Brayden Bassage, Brian Montoya-Mercado, Cody Comstock, Iker Maldonado, Mya Edington, and Tania Mendoza-Rangel.
