(STURGIS) – A new apartment building in downtown Sturgis is ready for residents to move in.
Community members had the chance Thursday to tour The Watershed, the new apartment complex built on the sight of the former Sportsarama building on Chicago Road. There are 23 apartments in the building, ranging from studio apartments to two bedroom facilities, with the majority of them already being rented out.
John Carmichael, who came up with the idea for the apartments three years ago, explains why he wanted to do this project. LINKC.
Residents will be able to move into their apartments next week as soon as some small projects are finished and some of the kitchen items are installed.
Carmichael says work will start next week on the Amendment Grill House. Plans are for that to be open in early 2025.
