Three Rivers Man Dies In Two Vehicle Crash
Monday, October 6, 2025

(CONSTANTINE TOWNSHIP) – A two vehicle crash claimed the life of one of the drivers.

St. Joseph County Sheriff Chad Spence says deputies were called to a two vehicle crash at 12:58 AM Sunday at the intersection of U.S. 131 and Riverside Drive in Constantine Township.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a motorcycle operated by a 34 year old Three Rivers man was traveling north on U.S. 131 when a pickup driven by a 40 year old Mattawan man was heading west on Riverside Drive and entered the intersection and the two vehicles collided.

The motorcycle operator was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was not injured.

The motorcyclist was wearing his helmet and the pickup driver was wearing a seatbelt. Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Constantine and White Pigeon Police Departments; the Constantine Fire Department, the Michigan State Police and Life Care Ambulance.

The incident is still under investigation.
