(STURGIS) – Former Sturgis City Commissioner Robert Hile was honored Wednesday night.
During their regular meeting, the Commission presented Hile with a proclamation for the years he spent as a Commissioner representing Precinct 4.
Hile was appointed to the City Commission on October 13, 2010 to replace Suzi Saddler. He was voted to be Vice Mayor on November 14, 2011 and served 5 years. He was voted to be Mayor November 14, 2016 and served 5 years.
All total, Hile served 14 years as a City Commissioner, putting him in the top five of longest serving City Commissioners.

Hile also thanked the Commissioners both current and past that he worked with, along with City Manager Andrew Kuk and former City Manager Mike Hughes.
