(JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured in a two vehicle crash over the weekend.
Deputies with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the intersection of Pine Lake Street and Daily Road in Jefferson Township at 6:21 PM Saturday.
The investigation determined that 27 year old Ronald Lard of Mishawaka was driving east on Pine Lake Street and failed to stop at the intersection of Daily Road. 19 year old Miranda Myszak of Mishawaka, was traveling south on Daily Road and was struck by Lard’s vehicle.
The Edwardsburg Fire Department checked Lard and his passenger at the scene. SMCAS Ambulance transported Myszak’s passenger to Saint Joseph Medical Center
for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
Everyone was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, which is still under investigation.
