(STURGIS) – The Sturgis City Commission received an update on the U.S. 12 project that will be taking place this summer.
During last week’s meeting, City Engineer Barry Cox shared a timeline of the project with the Commission. LINKC.
The project will run from South Centreville Road to Franks Avenue.
The initial work will be the installation of ADA ramps at the intersections along U.S. 12. Once that is done, Cox says crews will begin paving and striping. They will take the week off for Sturgis Fest.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of July. The project will also include a sidewalk along the south side of U.S. 12 from South Lakeview Avenue to Maplecrest Street.

No timeline has been given on how long the St. Joseph Street project will take.
