SJC United Way Launches Capital Campaign To Build New Facility

(CENTREVILLE) – A capital campaign is being launched to fund the construction of a new facility for the St. Joseph County United Way.

The United Way Board of Directors, led by Board President David Northrop, says the new facility will be located on Shimmel Road in Centreville, right next door to the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District. The strategic location will provide greater accessibility and visibility to allow for strong collaboration with local education and community services.

United Way Executive Director Kelly Hostetler says this project has been a long time coming. LINKC.

The new building and property will allow the organization to continue offering its essential programs, while expanding capacity, improving operational efficiency, and creating room for new initiatives that meet evolving community needs.

Hostetler says it will also allow the United Way to store all of their items in one location, instead of renting five storage units, which will save them $10,000 a year.

Hostetler says funding for the new facility will come exclusively from this Capital Campaign. LINKD.

Northrop says that community leader and St. Joseph County United Way supporter Tony Percival will chair the capital campaign.
