(SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP) – A propane explosion injured a man Friday morning.
The Sherwood Fire Department says they were called to a home on Blossom Road west of Ralston Road just before 7 AM. A 70 year old man suffered burns to his face, head and hands while trying to light a propane heater.
Investigators say there was a build up of gas because of a leak.
The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The Athens Township Fire Department and the Branch County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
